Doug over at the Pegu Blog reminded us that we still had unfinished work when it comes to understanding cocktails on the internet. Consider this little gem from the Google Trends Dept. It shows that the searches for ‘cocktail’, and ‘martini’ are positively correlated around the end of the year. What does that mean? New [...] A chance encounter at local bookstore followed by some gift lobbying found us in possession of great, and relatively recent new book: Cocktail Culture [amazon.com] by Mark Kingwell. Strangely enough it seems to go by the less intriguing name Classic Cocktails: A Modern Shake [amazon again] in the States. There’s lot to like about this book [...] |
